Jukurrpa is a small hobby cattery of silver shaded and golden shaded Persians. We are located in Zurich, Switzerland.

The history of our cattery has started in 2005 when we bought our first cat Antonio Banditos. In 2006 our cattery became registered with the FFH / FIFe under the name Jukurrpa and the Reg. No. Z3205. Since that time, the "Deamtime" Family has grown somewhat. Today we breed with one male and three queens. Three of these cats carry the genes from the Canadian Cedar Swamp breeding line. Our cats have a quite large body and a lovely look thanks to the pretty little noses. Our cats participates the FIFe International Cat Shows and receive high assessments. The Jukurrpa kittens grow up in our family. They are accompanied by us during the rearing lovingly and become people oriented and spirited cats.

The name of our cattery - the word Jukurrpa has originally no relation to the cats. The Google search for "Jukurrpa" would result a several references to the pages that are related to Australia. And that's right...

Jukurrpa is a word which comes from the language of the Australian Aborigines. The definition of the word is not so easy, because Jukurrpa has many meanings. Looked as a time, Jukurrpa carries the meaning of the creative period as the landscape of the world in her current form was created. Jukurrpa is the "old present" - the time which absolutely but not clearly differs from both, from "today" and from the "distant past". Jukurrpa is the dream and the dream time... Jukurrpa are also the forefathers. Jukurrpa is the being and the presence, the track, as well as the strength of the forefathers in a country. Jukurrpa means history, myth.........
